Institue of Management Coaching International business philosophyMy PhilosophyIMCI was established in 1988 on the basis of a holistic understanding of the world and of human beings and based on the simple fact that change is inevitable – and continues to take place with increasing speed. Our overall vision is to assist companies and organisations, as well as the individual employees within them, in being able to deal with these changes in a better way. We believe in working together towards long-term objectives rather than short-term, ‘smart’ solutions. The success that a company achieves depends on the degree to which the visions, objectives and strategies of the company coincide with the personal attitudes of the individual executive or member of staff as regards his/her own life and the setting of personal goals. Based on this view, IMCI develops and fine-tunes a variety of processes whereby the visions, objectives and strategies of the company emerge as the result of a structured process of interplay between management and staff. This makes it possible to develop a shared management culture that results in a high degree of objectives being met. Being able to implement and manage the process of change is not a matter of choice, but rather a question of the future survival of the company. Understanding the need for management and staff to work together in well-balanced teams, as well as the ability to actually do so, is a prerequisite for future success. Significant changes within an organisation almost always demand that people reflect seriously on their own current attitudes, behaviour, state of knowledge and on their overall expectations regarding the company. In order to achieve success in working with the process of change in companies and organisations, it is crucial to be able to coach, guide and direct people in a way that makes them feel secure about the process of change that they are undergoing. It is also just as important to control the process of moving towards the desired goal of an improved future, as it is to make the right decision as to what that future is going to be. IMCI works with the real-world situation within a company, as we take the current situation within the organisation as the starting-point. In the light of this, IMCI builds up each process and programme individually. |
